It has come to our attention that owner’s have been borrowing tools and supplies for their own personal projects. If anyone needs tools, then you need to stop by the office and pick up a key to the owner’s workshop to see if the tools needed are there to be borrowed. The tools belonging to maintenance are property of the Association and not there for individual use.

Supplies
When an owner wants to paint his/her patio, doors, landings, etc. the Association will supply the paint to do the work. Paint is the ONLY thing the Association will supply. Since that owner wants to do, or have the work done, it is at their discretion and not the Association, so owner’s have to supply their own paint brushes and rollers. Paint brushes and rollers are very expensive and not to be given out for owner’s use.

UNIT INFORMATION
Along with the 2nd notice there is a unit information form. Recently, the office has had emergencies and have not been able to contact owners because of phone number changes or discontinued. Please fill out the form whether any of the information has changed or not just so we can compare the information to make sure what we have on file is correct.

Phone numbers on rosters
New laws in the Florida Statutes now state that phone numbers are to be included when requesting a copy of the owner roster. If you do not want your phone number given out, you will need to fill out the form in the owners section and send it to the office.

Rosters:
Bud and Rita attended a seminar last week in regards to the changes in the Florida Statutes. One of the main topics were allowing to give out phone numbers to all members of the Association unless the office has a signed form requesting that your phone number is not given out. We will notify you once the form has been drawn up and you will be able to print out the form, which will be posted on the owner’s page of the website. Do not contact the office in advance since we do not have the form at this time.

Concerns in regards to drainage from the City of Madeira Beach
Earlier this year when the construction began across the street and the amount of dirt, along with the elevation, had some owner’s concerned about flooding issues on Rex Place and inside the complex. A letter was written to the City with those concerns and the office received a response today addressing those concerns. Owner’s can log into the owner’s web page to see the letter written and the response.
